Probablement l'album d'Anathema le plus difficile à appréhender, j'ai mis pas mal de temps à l'apprécier dans son intégralité. Toutefois, dés la première écoute, certaines pépites retiennent immédiatement l'attention : l'intro Sentient, belle à pleurer, Angelica et son riff légendaire, Le morceau découpé en plusieurs parties Eternity, Hope, reprise étonnant de Gilmour, le refrain de Far Away...
Le chant de Vince est franchement exceptionnel, on a l'impression qu'il vit ce qu'il chante (crie ?). Excellent album, celui qui fait le lien entre le passé doom du groupe et la suite plus atmosphérique. Excellent.
